Inspire Me Stand at Craft, Hobby and Stitch
I had a really good day at the trade fair today with my mum. We saw some really lovely things - lots of ribbon and beautiful buttons. I also saw Debbie from Inspire Me Papers and she had put my original heart shape lights up, their whole stand looked beautiful!! The photo's are taken by my mum who insisted we needed a picture (with me in it) before we left!!
:)
Just like to thank Debbie and everyone at Inspire Me for all their help and support they have given me in my projects :) you have all been so lovely and I cant thank you enough

Daisy Chain Fairy Lights
I made these lights last weekend for my current Uni project, again with Inspire Me Papers. I chose to do a spring based project with lovely fresh colours. There are co-ordinating patterns on their way, as well as another fairy light collection and a lazer cut 'Tord Boontje' style hanging light!!
All the photography was done by the lovely Catherine Dineley, more of her work can be seen at

Craft Business
I just recieved the latest issue of the Craft business magazine and found my work in there :) The advert is to show that Inspire Me Papers are going to be at the Craft, Hobby and Stitch show in Birmingham from the 20-22nd Feb.
Happy Valentines Day!!!
I saw these on the Bright Bold and Beautiful blog and fell in love with them, I really like the scallop edging on the top image and all the beautiful paper crafting. I also think the little blue peg is really really sweet
Inspire Me Papers - My Collection
All my papers were hand crafted. I used a scalpel to cut everything for the first four papers and the final paper was made using pin holes :)

Inspire Me < 3
For the the first part of our third year at University we were set a two week live brief by Inspire Me Papers. We were asked to create a selection of patterned papers and final product. I chose a valentines theme and created 5 patterned papers and heart shape fairy lights. My lights have since been produced by Inspire Me Papers as an online download or as a kit to buy. All which can be seen at http://www.inspiremepapers.co.uk/

hello :)
Hey guys! I have just started my very first blog and this is my first post. I thought a blog would be a great way to show some of the work I do as well as showing work which helps influence my work. I am currently studying Surface Pattern Design (Ba Hons) at Staff's Uni and will be graduating this summer. I have really enjoyed Uni so far and I am so excited for what is to come. Art and design is a huge part of my life and has been since a very young age, when my mum used to hide my scissors on top of the fridge!!
Tord Boontje, Rob Ryan, Orla Kiely, Caroline Gardner and Amy Butler are just some of the artits and designers who influence my work. I enjoy paper cutting, collage, screen printing, line drawing, hand and machine sewing and embellishment.
Please feel free to leave a comment on here or email me at - clairemaye88@hotmail.com
